Since 2002, Mio Technology Corp. has developed some of the most advanced personal navigation products available today. Mio is continually exploring new technologies that help people explore the world around them.

Leveraging its PDA engineering experience, Mio developed and released the world's first GPS-integrated PDA back in 2003. The success of this breakthrough product in highly competitive markets such as Taiwan and South Korea quickly established Mio as one of the fastest-growing GPS navigation companies in the world.

The Mio DigiWalker brand was launched in Europe in 2004, soon followed by expansion to Australia, Japan and the United States. Supported by easy-to-use software and integrated hardware functionality, Mio quickly captured market share in these new segments.

Following the merger with Navman in 2007, Mio reinvented itself in 2008 with a new corporate identity and simultaneously launched its first integrated products, the Mio Moov range, along with MioMoreTM, an innovative content and services package that includes GPS local search services – a European first.
Today, Mio is an industry-leading company with operations in Taiwan, China, Japan, South Korea, Australia, the United States and Europe.
