The *** works brilliantly both in and out of the car. Walking Mode uses 2D city maps*, developed to help you find your way around major cities on foot with buildings outlined for easier navigation. By helping you discover new places not accessible by car, Mio takes navigation a step further. Now you really can explore more.

Know your limits
Pre-loaded safety camera data helps keeps you on the right side of the speed limit. If you’re speeding or approaching a camera, a visual and verbal warning gives you time to safely slow down. The *** can also flag up the speed limit of the road you’re on, encouraging safer driving.
A new approach to lanes and junctions
With the ***’s Lane Guidance, you’re always in the correct lane to make a turn, so useful with today’s busier roads. The Spirit software also features realistic 3D Junction Views that match major road signs, giving you more time to understand what’s ahead as you approach an exit or intersection.
Discover the unexpected
Imagine being anywhere in Europe, informed with the knowledge that there’s a great restaurant or fascinating museum nearby. Introducing Explore Mode, an intelligent new idea that instantly transforms your navigation experience. When you arrive at any location, touch the Explore button on the Spirit menu and it creates a virtual circle around your location, highlighting all the POIs (Points of Interest) in the area that are just waiting to be discovered.

Alternatively, you can browse the maps of any location before you set off so you can plan your POI visits in advance. Once you have a route planned, your POIs and other useful places of interest are highlighted along the way.
Explore with photos
With the ***’s built-in NavPix™ photo album, you can browse through a huge variety of pictures such as tourist sites, hideaway beaches, hotels and restaurants. And connect your Moov to your PC to upload from over a million geo-tagged photos, free on the NavPix™ and Flickr® websites. Then simply touch the picture on your Moov and it navigates you there.
See clearly with TruMap™ views
Over the years GPS maps have become more complicated, so we took the bold step and redesigned ours from scratch. The result is TruMap™, a unique design inspired by paper maps. We’ve simplified graphics and colour for a clutter-free look that’s easier to understand. The natural white background allows your route to stand out, so you can see your way at a glance. At dusk, the screen automatically switches to night mode and brightness is reduced for safer driving.
Stay ahead of traffic
Avoid hold-ups and congestion. Using the very latest traffic technology (TMC), the *** gives you real-time traffic information so you’ll always know what’s on the road ahead.
Smarter, greener routing
The ***’s Economical Routing option assesses and reduces the number of junctions on your chosen route, so you can cut down on stopping and starting, fuel usage and also help lower your car’s CO2 emissions.
Go with a guide
Pre-loaded into every new *** are Travel Books from Wcities. Browse the in-depth listings of tourist attractions, places to eat, stay and visit, full of facts and photos. There are hundreds more to choose from, all quick and easy to download when you connect to MioMore™ Desktop 2 via your PC.
Act like a local
Mio Desktop™ gives you access to a wide range of services and features that go further than ordinary navigation. Local Search via desktop gives you information at your fingertips, from hotels and restaurants, to services, tourist spots and Points of Interest. And with Bluetooth® Local Search*, you have all this information available instantly during your journey. Fast and easy Local Search offers true mobile information at your fingertips – wherever you are.

Stay tuned
Using the ***’s built-in FM transmitter, spoken navigation can be broadcast through your car’s speakers via the radio, making it louder and clearer. The *** also stores your favourite MP3 tracks and plays them via FM too, intelligently fading in and out the music with each navigation instruction. (The use of the FM Transmitter is illegal in France and Italy. It is your responsibility to verify local laws in all European countries where you wish to use it.)
