The new product range offers the most up to date features with no compromise on design
Mio Technology Europe, today launches the Moov 500 series, an extension to its popular Moov range. The new series contains Mio’s most comprehensive features list ever. All devices in the range come complete with a large 4,7” screen for a more comfortable user experience and the latest TeleAtlas map data (V.2008.4). The Moov 500 series has been designed with the user experience and safety in mind.
Design excellence
All of the models in the Moov 500 series come equipped with a stylish Aluminium Bezel and a 4,7”, anti-glare LCD screen meaning that there is extra display space for bigger, clearer maps, on-screen icons and menu options. All products in the range are only 18mm deep which means they are lightweight and easy to carry.
User experience
The launch of the Moov 500 series also marks a new era of innovation in the service and contents available through MioMore™, Mio’s proprietary connected service technology. These innovations include; dynamic POIs downloadable directly from the web, Local Search, in partnership with country specific content providers for up to date local information such as nearby hotels, shops and services and NavPix photo navigation which allows users to create, share and store locations using geo-tagged photos as well as giving access to over a million geo-tagged photos of buildings and places, via Flickr(TM) and GoogleEarth.
Safety features
With the Moov 500 series, Mio has placed increased emphasis on aural rather than visual communication for a safer driver experience. The new devices all have Bluetooth and Handsfree calling as standard; the text to speech feature in the 580 and 560 models means the device reads road names aloud giving the driver better context when in transit. The 510 and 580 models also receive real time traffic information so that drivers can react immediately to potential difficulties along their chosen routes. There is also a short cut to emergency services for speedier roadside assistance in all models.
And for greater sound quality the 580 model also has an integrated FM transmitter, enabling all sound elements to be heard loud and clear through the car audio system.
